Affordable, private therapy

Q:  Why don't you accept insurance?  A: There is a secret people don't know regarding insurance payments.  When you visit a therapist and they submit an invoice with an insurance carrier they MUST assign a clinical diagnosis. So... if you were to see someone one-time regarding concerns you were having about, let's say, being downsized at work or worries about a new relationship, that therapist would need to give you a diagnosis which would be placed in a file - FOREVER. That seems a little extreme. In addition, that same worker would need to create notes and send them off to the insurance company. Again, those records would be required for any insurance claim to go through.

Here at TSEL we think that is too invasion and a breach of your right to privacy. We don't share information with anyone! Any time there is a request for information we send them directly to the client for them to get permission.
